  THE STORY SO FAR...

I'm Jay Curtis is a Welsh content creator, broadcaster and storyteller based in South Wales.

Best known online as JC Explores, I create immersive travel and exploration content that celebrates both the hidden gems of Wales and extraordinary experiences from around the world.

My videos vary from eerie abandoned places to cultural highlights and outdoor adventures which are then shared across YouTube and my social platforms, capturing the imagination of viewers and shining a spotlight on overlooked heritage and off-the-beaten-path discoveries.

Long before JC Explores was born, my media journey began in traditional broadcasting. I’ve spent years in commercial radio across the UK, honing my voice behind the mic, presenting live shows for a variety of radio stations and worked with major media outlets both on-air and behind the scenes.

Alongside broadcasting, I’ve worked as a digital publisher for a major UK news organisation, producing online articles that reached large national audiences. I also built a profile as a celebrity and showbiz columnist, covering entertainment news, interviews and popular culture and I understand what captures public attention in the media landscape.

That grounding informs everything I do today, whether I’m narrating a travel vlog, producing on-location features, or connecting with audiences across digital and broadcast platforms.

My work has been featured in national media outlets and shared with millions, and I’m driven by a passion for storytelling that educates, entertains and inspires.

Away from the screen, I’m constantly exploring — from the rugged coastlines of Wales to vibrant cities and unexpected places across the globe — always with a lens pointed at discovery and adventure.

From the breathtaking Waterfall Country in the Brecon Beacons to the vital role Mid Wales played during the Second World War Dambusters raid, there’s an incredible variety of places to explore right here in Wales.

Whether you’re planning a road trip or jetting off to an exciting destination, my advice is simple: pick a spot, grab a camera and start exploring because you never know what you might discover

.

I also love to challenge myself and push the limits of adrenaline, which means I’m always open to new ideas, experiences and suggestions.

If you have a project you’d like to discuss, a press trip idea, or an attraction you think I should showcase, drop me a line and let’s collaborate.
