It is an abandoned hamlet in the middle of the Welsh countryside, that could be straight from a post-apocalyptic horror movie. But there are no zombies wandering around, just an eerie silence, with weeds growing through the houses and a lake with no wildlife.

A boat which has been stranded along the Pembrokeshire coast since December appears to have become a permanent shipwreck in the area with no one coming forward to retrieve it.

Llandarcy in South Wales was once visited by King Charles and plotted a major renovation to turn the area into a thriving new village. Filmmaker Jay Curtis documented the village’s fall from grace, comparing it to the set of a “Hollywood movie”.
